The owner, Marcia Ritter, has done a fabulous job filling the space with unique accessories and ultra hip handbags. It is the perfect way to end a bridal appointment, go downstairs and find yourself something spectacular!

As the seasons are changing we at The LOFT will be making a few exciting changes of our own. Sara & I have decided to operate as two seperate entities, but will still have the same great partnership we have now! The LOFT Bridal & Design (Dresses, Accessories...) will still occupy the "Upstairs" of our current Lakeville location, The LOFT Floral & Decor will be operated from my work studio in Minneapolis starting Mid-September. In October there will be a new website dedicated exclusively to our floral & decor.

Please know these changes will not affect your dress purchase or wedding flowers/planning. You will still have the same great service, commitment to quality & the creativity to make your wedding day the best it can be.

I will still be doing floral consultations at our Lakeville location, Minneapolis location or at a location of your choice to make things as convenient as possible.

Carmen is a sweetheart!!! We love her.. Mason & Carmen had their Ceremony & Reception at Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee. It is beautiful there!!

What is a trunk show, anyway? It's a special event at which a wedding dress designer (or representative from the company) visits a bridal boutique on a set day with his or her entire line of new dresses. Brides schedule appointments to try on the dresses and meet with the designer.
Why have trunk shows? Since most bridal salons often only carry a few dresses from a select group of designers, trunk shows allow customers the opportunity to see and try on dresses that they wouldn't ordinarily see at that store.

We ended up creating all of their gorgeous flower creations in our hotel room! We put the thermostat as low as it would go and arranged away! Just another great adventure in the lives of Trish & Sara! Brrrr

Every dream starts with a vision! Ours was done on Photoshop! We knew this building had tremendous possibilities. Our build-out process took several months, little by little it all started coming together!

By the end of July we were ready to roll up our sleeves and get to painting. Needless to say Sara & I went through alot of old t-shirts & sweats with all of the paint we got on us!

20 or so gallons of paint later we were done with the walls, now it was on to the floors. Thank God for GREAT HUSBANDS! We both lucked out in that department. Herbie & Will spent all of their spare days & nights finishing the flooring for us. Thanks for everything boys! We love you.

Our Vision realized! Isn't she a beaut! It took alot of blood, sweat and tears but we did it! OK alot of tears, alot of sweat and very little blood. Most of the tears came from putting some items from IKEA together, haha.

We had our official Grand Opening November 29th, 2008. Sara and I couldn't keep count but we know there were at least 200 people!!!

A big thank you to everyone who came to show their support for us, it meant alot!! And also a big thank you to the Lakeville Chamber for our Grand Opening Ceremony!

Chicago Bridal Market, Fall 2008

This was our first trip to Chicago for the Bridal Market. The photo doesn't even come close to capturing how BIG this place really is! The market is held on the entire 7th floor. Lots & Lots of walking. Next year we will make sure to pack some walkin shoes!! We were fortunate enough to meet alot of inspiring & talented designers. So many to choose from so little time...
